And Now Choose Your Mission
There are two basic types of missions with Mission Youth Detroit: humanitarian or faith-based projects. Regardless of the type of outreach you choose, all missions with Mission Youth Detroit are specifically designed and structured to provide a transformative experience for all of our missionaries. We work diligently to facilitate meaningful relationships amongst the missionaries and with those we serve while providing an opportunity for spiritual growth throughout the entire mission experience.
"And I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ." - Philemon 1:6
Faith-based missions focus on modern day evangelization by sharing your personal relationship with Christ in a real and relatable way. Most of our religious missions occur during Holy Week where we focus on spreading Christ's love through various fun and interactive outreach initiatives in Detroit.
“Preach the Gospel always! When necessary, use words." - St. Francis of Assisi
Humanitarian-based missions are designed to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the specific community we are serving. The focus of these missions is on spreading the love and joy of the MYD values through our work and interactions with others.
Volunteer opportunities with Mission Youth Detroit are both local and around the world! Join us at any of our mission sites for a unique and rewarding experience.
